A Night of Darkness...
Not much went on today. I finally got my wish for work. I was constantly busy today with more projects than I could handle.. and I LOVED it! There's nothing more rewarding than doing good work and not slacking off. =)
Other than that, I just hung out with the family. I worked out a bit this afternoon after work. With all the hustle and bustle of today, I have to say I saw one of the most beautiful sights. Leaving Rite-Aid, the weather had turned from a little rain drop here and there to sleet.
As I stood there, tiny little specs of slushy ice tapped a tune all around. I couldn't get to my car because an elderly lady and her husband were backing up their car and pulling out. So, I just stood there. Ever notice how when it rains, you're surrounded by silence? It's as if you've been pulled out of reality and placed in on of those old black and white films.
What was seconds seemed like minutes. I remember a saying in "Braveheart", when William was asking Murron's parents for permission to date. Her mother said, "On a rainy day like this?" As it was raining fairly hard. William's response was, "Oh, it's perfect Scottish weather, madam. The rain is fallin' straight down, well slightly to the side like." Haha.. I love that spirit. The rain was coming down, but it was a beautiful sight. Back at Rite-Aid, since I couldn't go anywhere, I just looked up and smiled. When I looked back down, that lady in her car just smile and drove off. I hope one day I can grow old with someone. I'm not expecting it, nor do I think I deserve it, but if it be God's will, what a lovely blessing that would be. =D
Anywho, tonight I was faced with a hard decision. So often, I would rather choose the world's way when I'm struggling. It seems easier, faster, but in the end, I'm left broken again. Well, I fought my choices tonight and should've never let my mind ponder it more. However, I am human. Let's just say, tonight, I'm going to bed and with that I'm choosing God's way. I pray tomorrow I am strong enough to do the same.
Night, and God Bless.. Slán...

Weekend Recap
Sitting at the office, 2:30pm finally rolled around. Yes, I was finally free. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but the weekend was finally here! This wasn't like a typical Friday at the office. Normal Fridays end around 4:30pm, but we had a company-wide meeting at 3pm. I love those! That means, we get off work early and get to hear what's going on with the company financially and growth wise. Great times.. =)
Ok, so I get excited about the little things. Eh, I've always been a happy person, and it's the little things that count.. Right? Anywho, I think it does. So back to the 'Yay! It's Friday'. If you don't know me, here's a bit of insight as to one of my favorite hobbies: I love to dance. Almost every Friday and Saturday I go out and dance. A typical night out, I get to catch up with some friends, but most of the time I'm there to dance. Dancing is more than just holding a woman and moving
your feet, it's a connection. When you dance, you connect with someone in a way that builds a trust. It's a bond that can build a lasting friendship; one that's beyond words.
What made Friday very awesome was seeing Ashley and Sarah there. I haven't seen those two in soo long. We spent over an hour just catching up. Then came Ryan, Beth, Melody and Kara. I always have fun around those four. =) With all the conversations, I didn't start dancing until about 10:30pm, and the dance started at 9pm. Melody and I worked on some of our aerials. We are getting really good. In two weeks, Melody and I are going to Penn State to show a dance class a demonstration of swing! I can't wait.
As the night ended, I was able to catch up with what's happening in Sarah's life, and I'm glad she's in Philly! I will definitely be praying for her, and the new job she starts tomorrow. Ashley soon finds out if she passed her cert, and I hope she does!! Ryan is his same awesome self, and Beth and Melody are always chipper and fun. Melody has a play coming up called "Godspell"! I am soo going to see her.
As the night ended around midnight, we said our goodbyes. Kara was feeling tired from the day, and of course I had to keep bugging her. It's what I do, and I do it well. =D Last moment I remember is my head hitting the pillow as I thank God for a wonderful night.
Saturday comes rolling in late. I looked at the clock and it was afternoon already! I texted Boots to see what she's up to and made it upstairs. That's about as far as I got. "The Patriot" and "Braveheart" came on back to back, and I was sucked in. I love those movies! Also, my fam was sitting with me, so it was great to have a movie time with them.
After the movies were over, it was time to pick up my dancing shoes and hit the road. I met up with Kara, Ryan and Beth again up for another night of dancing! The best part, Ryan won a dance competition!! How cool is that! =) One of my other favorite moments was dancing with Danielle. We moved in sync together without one word. Of course, I couldn't help laughing here and there, but it was a very awesome feeling.
The night ended as usual, me driving home solo to an incredible night. Something about an hour drive back home with the moon and stars out, just puts me in a deep thinking mood. I usually call it my G-Time (God Time) because it gives me a chance to really talk to Him. The trip home is always a peaceful time.
I got home and crashed around 8am.. Yeppers, I said it. 8AM. Haha, could it be that I shouldn't have drunk that Mountain Dew on the way home? Nah.. I just wanted to stay up late.. Right. =) Well, I was able to set up this blog and get some office work done remotely, so overall not a bad night!
So, Sunday rolls around.. Today.. What crazy things did I do today? Hmm.. nothing I can think of. I woke up around 3pm.. Haha, I'm such a bum. I did some more office work, sent a few emails out, and found out Boots is from the Caribbean. Totally awesome! But her island and Italian background is no match for my Irish background.. =)

Beannacht Nua (New Blessings)
Come sit by the fire; let the warmth surround
Go and be still; let your memories play 'round
A senseless time, once direction, buried within this coal
Alluring shadows flicker in dance to free your soul
Can you feel its warmth; now close your eyes
Feel the flames heal where the burning really lies
Consume it will; weaving towards all that you sheath
Let your mind wander; take in the scent; breathe
Night growing old; the fire glimmers upon the stones
Everlasting peace; calm that seeps down to your bones
Christ the endless flame that burns for each new day
Beannacht Nua, for you he gave his life away
